Sunday Meal prep

I’m obsessed with mine. It’s essentially a mini hotplate in an insulated lunchbox. It gets food to 165 degrees F and holds it there indefinitely.

So I literally get two hot meals a day at work served directly to me at my desk, courtesy of my past self, who meal prepped and then plugged it in. It can also heat up frozen dinners directly in the container, bc it doesn’t get hot enough to burn or melt anything.

No link bc I got it on Amazon and I’m not giving them any free publicity, just search for hot logic lunchbox.

How would this be any better than microwaving food? (unless you work at a site without a microwave)

Well, my work microwave sometimes has a line, it’s hard for me to manage carrying my lunch back to my office without spilling or burning myself, and there’s just something about it already being ready when I get hungry… it feels good, like as if someone is bringing me a meal.

That's true, little stuff like that does help ya get through the work day.

This is really cool but how does your food not end up being beef jerky? My lunches are super sporadic and if I don't eat lunch before 3 I just eat at home.

Since the food is in a sealed container, it doesn’t lose much moisture, but if it’s going to sit for a long time, I’ll add a spoonful of water or something to hold moisture in.
