My personal list

  • 1 The Sinking City
  • 2 Call of Cthulhu _ Dark corners of the earth
  • 3 The Shore

Here's a list with more games

Awesome, thank you! Meanwhile I found

  • Amnesia
  • The last door
  • Soma

I don’t know yet, which to buy, so feel free to add further suggestions.

For me, the best video game has to be Eternal Darkness for the Gamecube. It has an actual sanity system and, without spoiling anything: there are amazing side effects to having reduced sanity.

The best game in general is undoubtedly Call of Cthulhu by Chaosium. The seventh edition of the game is completely backwards compatible and so there exists 40 years of amazing horror scenarios.

Bloodborne. It's not explicitly Lovecraft, but it is heavily Lovecraftian.

Since I sucked at Dark Souls, I stopped following the sequels. Is it as action packed and difficult as Dark Souls? Because I‘m more the turn-based type of guy (Civ, Xcom, Darkest Dungeon,…).

Unfortunately yeah, it carries over the gameplay and combat from Souls 🙁

I liked those two:

Conarium ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conarium_(video_game) ) A walking simulator, set up as a follow up to the mountains of madness.

The Moons of Madness (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1012840/Moons_of_Madness/)

** Link to Steam since this strangly has no Wiki article

Set up during an expedition to mars, has more action then Conarium, butt still more about exploration.
