ME^1^LLO, the lighting makes it look so much butter. Even fixes some flickering hair issues I had in most places.
Mass Effect
My name is Commander Shepard and this is my favorite Mass Effect community on the citadel.
Rules & Regs:
- Don't be a dick, unless it's a really spicy renegade interrupt. But even then, seriously, don't be a dick.
- Memes are great - seriously, I need more Mass Effect sh!tposting in my life.
- This is a welcoming community for all stripes, let's just remember there's people on the other side of the screen and act accordingly.
- If you're here, you gotta post. Thems the breaks, kid.
Other stuff:
- I hope to welcome all Rexxitors from r/masseffect, though this is not in any official way associated with them. Still, they're great, and Mass Effect is great, so I hope all Reddit orphans can find a cozy place here to talk about whether or not Leviathan of Dis is going to pull some shady ish.
Ok, I have a whole list of mods I used on my last play through.
This is for ME3, because I had to wipe it and reinstall in a certain order. I found all of these in nexus mods:
LE3 Community Patch Expanded galaxy map EGM Armors Druu's Modding Citadel extension (ending?) mod/CEM (install before AHEM) Appearance mod menu (I went a little crazy with this one) Audemus Happy Ending Mod (AHEM) A Lot of Videos Immersive emails Take Earth Back Remove Shared Cool down Miranda Mod Unlimited Sprint Unrestricted Weapons Upgrade Silent Traynor Spectre Expansion Usable Hot tub More Gay Romances Tali Overhaul Unique Aquarians Prayer Book Emily Returns Custom Asari Adept Armor Admiral Xen Restored Journal Enhanced Laugh track (plays when you die) Project Variety Thomas the Tank Reaper (yep.) N8 Weapons Remix
I also downloaded extra outfits, hair packs, and custom character designs.
It has been fun.
Man where do I start.
ME1 I have mods for unlimited Mako boost and jump jets, squad default armor always, N7 heavy armor always, a lot of quality of life mods mostly like unlimited sprint.
ME2 ill never play again without choose your own weapons, I can't stand being railroaded into using SMG's, we are special operations and should all be trained on the basic pistol and rifle regardless of class. Additionally squad weapon change mod that gives Miranda a sniper, Jacob an assault rifle, Mordin a shotgun and a few others. Just get away from the "SMG's for everyone!" Bullshit that is a huge mole on the otherwise perfect ass of ME2. Unlimited sprint because once again we are spec ops and should be able to run more than ten feet without having a heart attack.
ME3 I can't recall because I don't really play it all that often.
It’s going to sound silly, but the first mod, and most aesthetically necessary for me, is one that fixes Kaiden’s stupid, melted Lego hair. I can not stand that melted lump of plastic on his head. I only started pc gaming a year ago, and a mod to fix his stupid hair was the first mod for any game that I ever downloaded.
The other mods I consider essential are the ones that cut out the mini games (I can do the stripped down Simon game on ME1 on console, but cylindrical space frogger was beyond me) and the one that lets you scan all the planets in 2 with one probe. That one is a legit lifesaver, since I have something called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. It made all my joints really weak and prone to sprains, and holding the trigger down to scan got painful quickly and I’d often have to stop gaming because I could feel my finger about to go. That mod means far less strain on my fingers.
Another good mod I like is the one that revamps the dreams in 3. Stone of the revamped dreams are a bit meh, but I just got to the last one before Priority Earth, and it really hit me.
The real question is: after fixing his melted Lego hair did you still let him die?
Depends on the playthrough.
No shit. Thanks for not having any fun.
Well, what did you want me to say? Half the time he lives, half he dies. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
I think he survived that first playthrough, but not the next one.
