honestly i just switched from jerboa to wefwef.app
really slick UI, if you like apollo you'll love it, and it's a pwa so it works cross platform
Jerboa is a native-android client for Lemmy, built using the native android framework, Jetpack Compose.
Warning: You can submit issues, but between Lemmy and lemmy-ui, I probably won't have too much time to work on them. Learn jetpack compose like I did if you want to help make this app better.
Jerboa is made by Lemmy's developers, and is free, open-source software, meaning no advertising, monetizing, or venture capital, ever. Your donations directly support full-time development of the project.

Liftoff is also a great app. Lots of updates and a very nice interface
Is Liftoff open source ?
Yes, link above is to github
Strange. The first bug of bad jitter was opened on 0.0.32 and i have experienced bad jitter on 0.0.34, 0.0.35, and 0.0.36. I recently switched my main app to Thunder and am having a much nicer lemmy experience.
I love Thunder too! The UI is nice and it feels overall better, despite being newer than Jerboa. They have a community over at [email protected] and the creator of the app seems to be very active there and responds to people's requests.
I can't find Thunder in the play store, do I have to use Github?
Yes.
This has been a long standing issue, not just in the last update. Force stop then clear cache and it'll be better... For a while...
