Replay the match…

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Hope they bring in the lawyers tbh. Only way to get something done

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

The whole point of football is to score a goal.

If a perfectly good goal isnt allowed then something is very wrong and not fit for purpose.

Yay maybe this will finally be the start of the EPL doing something about its disgraceful refereeing

How many more “significant human errors”? You should take your time to come to a concrete decision, that’s why VAR is there. Leagues can be lost due to these decisions

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Wolves been getting fucked over for years, and nothing. All of a sudden it hits Liverpool and serious changes need to be made? Ok pals…

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

It was a failure, singular; the offside was the error. The cards were correct. There wasn’t failures. Just one huge error.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

for fucks sake.

Everyone is acting like is akin to genocide.

LFC is not the first club nor the last club that will get fucked by VAR.

Move on.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Jeez. Get a grip.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Im guessing the PGMOL didn't hand over the audio and studio camera recordings like LFC wanted.

EDIT:

That such failings have already been categorised as “significant human error” is also unacceptable.

LFC are saying its BS that you have released an excuse before you have conducted an investigation.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

In the meantime, we will explore the range of options available, given the clear need for escalation and resolution.

Fighting words lol

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

This could be a win for all PL clubs

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Not surprised. The idea of the VAR guys not correcting the referee when he didn't give the goal and then just saying 'it was a mistake' is straight bullshit. Sounds mental but if I wanted to screw a team over by not giving a goal, this is exactly how I'd have gone about it.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

This is just gonna piss the refs off even more resulting us getting even less decisions lol. Although watching that spurs game and the Newcastle one where joelinton was given free reign to commit as many fouls as he wanted I'm not sure that's possible.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Hoping other clubs get behind us on this, PGMOL boys club are ruining our sport.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Ref missed one call lol.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

So why when i posted this was it deleted for having a vague title even though it was the exact same and was posted 10 minutes earlier?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

all teams should support this.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Fair play, a very strong statement. Unacceptable doesn't even begin to describe messing up a decision that straightforward.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

They didn’t draw the lines when Arsenal drew Brentford last season either. It’s time for VAR real-time transparency.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Victim FC finally getting the short end of the VAR stick

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

We're going to war lads and I'm here for it

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

This game in question is the most egregious robbery / worst officiated game I think I've seen since I started watching football in 2006. I didn't see that famous United vs Arsenal game but could it be the worst officiated game in PL history? Two nothing red cards and a legit goal taken away?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Danny Murphy has said multiple times over the few months that they need to get ex-professional players into the VAR booths and I 100% agree.

We would see a significant reduction of ridiculous decisions being made.

Decision where we hear ex-professionals with thousands of games between agree the refs got it wrong...

Jones straight red is an example of this.

I've yet to hear any ex-professional player say this was straight red.

Unfortunately it is never going ro happen because the PGMOL will never let in outsiders in as it will show how bad they have become.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Is there something I’m missing? It was a messed up decision with VAR involved. Happens all the time. Doesn’t make it better but what exactly is special about this one?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

That such failings have already been categorised as “significant human error” is also unacceptable. Any and all outcomes should be established only by the review and with full transparency.

This does seem like they've had enough of simply being apologised to.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Just release the audio, would be interesting to hear it and it's the least PGMOL can do at this point

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Meaningful change should have happened last season after Skipp was left bleeding on the pitch due to a high boot by Jota (who later went on to score the winner in that match). Klopp's reaction? Telling Ryan Mason to worry about something else rather than a missed call that helped undermine the sporting integrity.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Take them to court, so ridiculous that an error like that can take place in the highest professional football league in the world.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

This is ridiculous. They made a bad mistake. It’s happened since the beginning of the game.

What do Liverpool expect is even going to happen?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

It wasn't awful all around. One call was missed, granted, but the sendings off were valid.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Howard Webb is going to have to be in the VAR rooms every game lmao.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

They probably weren’t arsy when Wolves’ goal was wrongly disallowed for offside in the FA cup because they couldn’t find the correct angle, they can keep crying for what I care of course they also fail to mention that their goal came from the refereeing wrongfully awarding them a free kick

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

As a Chelsea fan, I am still pissed Mike Dean knowingly allowed a bad call to stand because correcting his dear friend Anthony Taylor who was the referee was not something he wanted to do. MF admitted this. So I am all with Liverpool in taking this incompetent and corrupt referring out to the cleaners. Fuck Taylor and fuck Mike Dean.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

They're escalating. Nice. Proper fighting words.

Im sure it'll come to nothing but more egregious bustups with the refs. But im glad we arent just meekly accepting it

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

No problem with the statements. More clubs should do this. Also glad to see they focused on the blatant error and not the controversial red cards that Jota and Jones received

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

introduce challenge system or have both team provide a representative to be present in the VAR room

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Are pool the softest team to ever exist? They have 1 (really) bad call go against them after years of preferential treatment and they do this. I'd be embarrassed.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Not that Liverpool should just sit on their hands and say 'Well they said oops, our bad, so big deal', but I don't know what avenues they think there are to pursue. They're not going to get a replay or points awarded to them, unless their goal is to force changes to transparency from officials regarding VAR decisions, I don't know what else they think they're going to get.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

I think this is the most I’ve ever been behind a rival club. Please escalate this as much as you can, until they get rid of all of that corrupt old boys club 🙏

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Klopp must be irritate with the club right now considering he told other managers they have other things to worry about when managers called the ref out after matches against his side.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Here's hoping the league punishes Liverpool thoroughly for this embarrassing online petition. Mistakes have happened to many teams, and a point was no guarantee for them as they RIGHTFULLY went down two players due to their team members playing on the edge of professionalism.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Howard Webb is going to have to be in the VAR rooms every game lmao.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

It baffles me the amount of people in this thread with comments like 'just beacause it's liverpool' 'cry babies' and 'every team gets fucked over by refereeing decisions'

The officiating in that game was awful all round, the officiating in most games is horrific, no team should lose or gain advantage caused by incompetent referees. This is not about Spurs it's about the referees constantly fucking up and just apologising afterwards like it makes it okay. I'm assuming Brentford will get an apology call from Webb tonight too.

Every team and supporter should be behind Liverpool on this.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

The comment about exploring all available avenues is interesting. I think the problem is, at some point very shortly after the goal every official knows that we should have been 1 up. All of them. Nothing is done to rectify that for the entire game. Nothing of consequence happens by the time the referee knows.

It's a very bad look.

The thing that makes this totally unacceptable for me is after the initial mistake when the VAR team think the goal has been given, which is bad enough, is the fact they say nothing to the ref when Spurs are given a free kick and are not kicking off from the centre circle.

That obviously shows the goal hadn't been given, what were they doing? Clearly not looking at the screen. It's embarrassingly bad.
