He is standing on top of Simon and has his hand on his chest. There is absolutely no way Simon could have got around him to get the cross

No matter how the decision making process transpired it was the correct decision in the end

The ball went in the back of the net. Nobody was fouled and nobody was offside. Ergo it was a goal.

That certainly is a take you have there.

Scotland's been playing football for longer than Spain and they haven't even started getting there yet!

Catalonia gave us a good game tonight.

Nobody cares about rugby in Spain but it’s a big deal in Scotland, since it’s one of the 2 sports you’re decent at. We have tons of success in basketball, tennis, waterpolo, handball, football, etc that we decided to suck at something to make it more interesting for the others

Is your best comeback mentioning how much more successful Spain is than Scotland? Come on

The rules are just a little confusing. At the end of the interference/impeding rule it says to call it as a foul. So it's both offside and a foul.

if the player moves into the way of an opponent and impedes the opponent’s progress (e.g. blocks the opponent), the offence should be penalised under Law 12

Why would they have to pay the referee?

Its clearly being done as a Uefa directive.

And its going to kill football. One of the stand out attractions of the sport is how the little guy has a genuine shot in almost every game. This is the complete opposite of most team sports which will pretty much always go to form.

How did Sancet play?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago (7 children)

Shades of that Italian fouling Hutton in the corner.

/u/MarcoRuss shared both Spanish goal replays, but unfortunately missed the moment of the match. More crimes against Scotland swept conveniently under the rug.

Nothing like winning 2-0 and getting all my comments downvoted. "Banter", I think you guys call it?

Imagine being so wasteful in front of goal that you need dodgy reffing & VAR to spare your blushes.

Was fully expecting a defeat tonight but something about that just stinks

Still no reason we can't get something against Norway & Georgia

Ah yes, when Chiellini earned a free-kick for doing a Rhyno-style gore on our full-back. Takes me back.
