For me, I think having a topic in mind is the best thing to do. Your therapist isn't a mind reader ๐Ÿ˜‚.

Be willing to open up when you feel comfortable. Avoid one word responses if you can. Allow yourself to be introspective. Stopping to think about your responses is also a great idea.

From a therapist's viewpoint, yes, absolutely, please come with a topic in mind!
