Wouldn't have know it was today without seeing your post. Guess I still have a few hours to get some work done first. Not that I have any (edit: long range) gear, but it might be fun to see who's on the local repeater this afternoon.

Test posting from my sopuli.xyz account to see if it makes it to your instance. I tried posting about 4 hours ago from lemmy.world and nothing seems to have happened. This instance (ko4abp) shows up in the lemmy.world federated instances, and vica versa, and I can see this community, but my post from Lemmy-world never made is here and the subscription button just says "Pending" anyway, feel free to ignore if this makes it through.
edit: fascinating. it took less than a minute for this to be live on ko4abp.com and it propagated to my lemmy.world instance. Sorry for using your thread as a test bin. :-)
Going to a local park with my buddy tomorrow for some ham radio shenanigans. Mostly just want to test out some antennas with making contacts as a secondary goal. I’ll be 1B-CO.
Yeah, I'm not huge into the making as many contacts as possible part of the hobby. Right now my focus is actually getting it to work...
