This is quite certainly one thousand nine hundred and eighty four
How do i test out its capabilities? Does it delete reposts?
Well the bot has to be configured by a mod first and no one had configured theirs yet. I have added a dummy rule just to test it.
From now on it is forbidden to talk about "pizza". Only moderators (me hehe) are still allowed to say the P word. Any comment containing such word will be swiftly removed.
Try posting a comment with the word "pizza" in it, it should get auto removed. Also:
does it delete reposts
Alas no. It would be pretty complicated to write such a feature (would require a 3rd party service to detect what is and isn't a repost) and we haven't really had any problems with reposts for now.
The biggest thing the AutoMod does is removing stuff based on their content, according to rules set by mods. Othe features are:
- giving mods a command to lock and pin posts (so they can do that even from their phones)
- sending me and the other admins a discord ping any time someone submits an application to join the instance, so we don't have people waiting 10+ hours for me to log in and notice the notification
I'ma say the ~~gamer~~ Italian cuisine word
