Ok, it is Friday evening. I'm reading over and over how the Chiefs didn't play a good game. I agree their WRs played like dehydrated dogshit. But the Lions didn't bring their A game either. Our O-Line did just enough, but weren't outstanding. I'm betting they have an angry week of practice. Same for our WR corps. Did just enough, but didn't really put fear into anyone. Our D was really good. Hell, if you can limit Mahomes to 20 points in a game, you did good. I don't know if this was by design to limit him, but it is pretty clear they need to get Gibbs involved more in the passing game, especially while Jamo is out. He's clearly a guy that can stretch the defense, and that was largely missing from our offense.

Both teams' offenses didn't play a ton in the preseason, and maybe that's why both offenses weren't quite firing on all cylinders. But neither team played outstanding, yet we still gutted it out. We were just clutch when we needed to be, and that was the difference in the game.
