So with all the new materials, shows, books, comics, all the fan edits out there, everying, canon or not, I am really curious about what's everyone's new way of watching and enjoying the Star Wars universe?

My favorite Star Wars would be:

  • Original (un-edited) trilogy. Although I like most of the special edition changes to Empire Strikes Back.
  • The Shadow of the Empire novel
  • The Thrawn trilogy of novels by Timothy Zahn
  • Mandalorian S2, last episode w/ Jedi Master Luke on display
  • Andor for showing that 'mature Star Wars' can be done and well executed
  • Honorable mentions to Clone Wars and Rebels for having some good content as well

Ep III, R1, despecialized IV and V are my movie trilogy.

KOTOR, Bane trilogy, Plagueis, TCW and Andor are essential canon.

Death Troopers is a special thing.

Everything else is just extra at best.

Star wars is sort of like Taylor Swift. Even if I don't seek it out I end up catching 5m of an episode of that newer kids show. Or a video game trailer.
