I've just seen a stupid conspiracy theory about this - that the US government knew the sub imploded almost immediately but they went through with the search attempt in order to distract from what's going on with Hunter Biden right now.
I saw a guy saying it had all been a simulation for the people inside the sub as if the govt faked it and just kidnapped them
It was the kraken!
It was all planned by the aliens! And the government knows everything but everything is hidden from us. The governments want to trade humans to the aliens for some lolcat! For every human they receive, they send 1000 lolcat memes! People! Don't surrender to them, resist!!!111!11!1111
