As a reddit refugee, I've created this community to closely mirror the intentions of /r/AnnArbor.

I'd welcome your contributions to make this community an active and vibrant discussion forum for those of us who live or work in Ann Arbor, as well as anyone else who's interested in the A2 area!

I'm glad to have found this community! I've been following [email protected] but this looks like it has a lot of activity too. midwest.social isn't the most stable Lemmy host either.

Hey there, Welcome! I check in on that community as well -- they're doing a great job.

I wasn't able to find any A2 communities before I started this one, but the community search tools were archaic back then. We're talking ancient history in "Lemmy time" -- nearly a month ago lol.

Thanks for stopping by... hopefully we can create vibrant alternatives to /r/annarbor.

Thanks for working to breathe life into this A2 community! I’m happy to be done with Reddit, and would love to see this community on Lemmy grow.

Me too! I have entirely broken my Reddit habit since they announced the changes. It was probably a blessing in disguise for me -- I'm much happier here.
