It happened around 7 a.m. PT in the former Achillion restaurant, which is under new ownership and which police say was abandoned.

So probably a gas valve was left open or there was a leak and something ignited it.

Seems about right. They've abandoned our downtown to the homeless. Buildings are going empty and shit like this is happening. More people would have been injured but luckily no one wants to go downtown any more. So I guess that's good.
