I stocked up on 'CleverCrates' when I found them for about $10/ea at walmart. They're collapsible and stackable and have worked out really well. I want to get more but their retail price is a little high so I'm just waiting to find another deal.
For Makers, Creators and Doers
This community is a central space for makers and creators of all types. Woodworking is just as welcome as 3d printing, welding can go alongside programming robots run by micro controllers.
"Look what I made" is welcome, as is "This is how to make it".
The important thing is to create something, and get inspired by other people's creations.
Keep it civil and uplifting.
I've seen those but they seem like a weird space between too flimsy for big stuff and not enough compartmentalization for small stuff. What do you put in them?
I have found them to be sturdy enough. I have had 12 of them for about 5 years and through 2 house moves and they hold all my 'DIY inventory' and hand tools. I wouldn't fill them up with lead shot or anything but they seem about as strong as a standard bin of the same size. The folding parts lock in when extended and I haven't had any issues with them.
I don't have time to find all the videos and systems I've looked at, but I'll link a couple to start the convo. This is probably my favorite storage video and I think I want to integrate something like it into a French cleat system:
Also, this is a great example of French Cleat shop storage that I may implement on a slightly smaller scale: https://youtu.be/4fKBZ-H9StM
