porn and nsfw content in general is very hard to moderate and as people hosting are indivuduals with limited funds and time it simply isnt possible to effectively take care of anything that may get people arrested so the easier path is to not host it at all

I wonder if a porn company could host a server for porn. They could even limit the video links to their site so they can rely on their existing moderation tools while also promoting their site. It's not the best solution since a company is controlling the server but it might be kinda work.

There are porn servers, they just usually don't federate with other servers. I've seen a couple but lost the links.

You can be the one to spin something up, but like others point out, it's a major responsibility to moderate that sort of thing.

You would probably always upload it to your own instance, but communities such as [email protected] seem to be where people are putting it?
