The Burst meter is simply divided into two so you know exactly when you have 50% to use for the two new mechanics. It also seems to turn green once you have enough on top of having a mark at 50%, similar to how they convey that info with tension meter

Yeah I more or less figured out the changes to delineate the 50% line, but I wasn't sure about the blue fire on top. If you look at the intensity of the flame at 2:25 vs. 2:30, you can see a difference even though they both look like full burst bars.
I know they made comments about changing/enhancing regular bursts so I was wondering if it had to do with that but I'm not sure.
Oh, nice catch. I didn't even notice the difference, lol.
Never played Johnny on Xrd or +R much but it seems his most interesting mechanics are still present in Strive, like his Mist Finer cancels.
As for the burst, it's probably due to the new mechanics, I think you can active them with 50% of your burst gauge.
