Ok, I’m still learning how the Prem works from the States. Is he ours now or is it still up to him deciding to sign with us?
I’m more used to the American systems where the teams have FAR more power over the players.

He needs to agree personal terms. Ornstein saying formality would suggest they know what he is asking for and it's within our pay structure, and that he would be happy to join us. He could say no.
So they agreed to pay Brighton £110M for the rights to Caicedo, but now they need to agree to terms with Caicedo himself?
Yep pretty much. Usually goes through though. Relatively rare a player refuses, less rare terms can't be agreed but still unlikely. He could also fail the medical or agents could start demanding extra cash. I've no reason to believe any of things could happen.
So transfer rumours outpace official news. It seems likely he is our player cause the top tier journalists are reporting it. Bur he isn’t ours until it’s official
So Bellingham was just a smokescreen for the real midfield target?
Yeah I don't understand stand this, maybe the wages difference is really high between them
Wow wow wow. What a saga
A quick saga. Went to bed and the claims felt a little outlandish. And now it seems like it’ll be done today. Astonishing
No doubt... let's hope this gets wrapped up on Friday! I wonder if there's any money left in the budget to buy another midfielder and a defender. I'll say no and look forward to being blown away when we buy Lavia and Inacio.
