Personally, I wish they could come to consensus and start building soon. High rent would make Waterloo less attractive to students. Assuming there is a saying on the school rating pages:
CONS: Living in Waterloo is as expensive as Toronto
The problem with me with the push to density is that you need to change the desire of people. I don't know anyone with a family who wants to live in a condo.
It's fine for single folks, or those just starting out.
I agree. One of the things I like about KW is that the density of people isn't that high. I understand needing more housing and saving costs on transportation systems but people still want to live in houses, not just condos.
