I know there were some comaplints about the course but from a spectators perspective I cannot emphasise enough how great this was to watch. I've seen a lot of live racing but this was by far the best even with dodgy weather. The looping course meant there were places where, with minimal movement, you could see the riders pass 3 times each lap. The cornering and climbing were just spectacular.
Race interrupted by a protest- long break.
unbelievable. Couldn't watch real time, but just looked at last 40k!
Little noticed fact: MvdP got his foot out and almost kept it up! Crazy reaction time
Pogi helped away from mix zone at the end, got dizzy he was so spent
great race!
Had to talk about it. Not sharing the name of the rider who won but just wanted to natter hehehe

A day later and I still can’t believe that race! Who slips and falls, breaks half his shoe and then continues to go so fast in the last two rounds that he’s an extra minute ahead of everyone else. What a guy, it’s been 38 years since my country won a rainbow jersey. We came close several times but this…
I mean! Who uses the Tour de France as a training ride??? He did! Unbelievable!
