ANTHONY JOSHUA u DILLIAN WHYTE FIGHT UPDATE 5 August 2023 - Today, the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA) informed Matchroom, the Association of Boxing Commissions and the British Boxing Board of Control that Dillian Whyte had returned adverse analytical findings as part of a random anti-doping protocol. In light of this news, the fight will be cancelled, and a full investigation will be conducted. Further information on the event will follow.

Will we get Chisora as a last minute replacement? Is there any feasible opponent for AJ that justify this being PPV in the UK? 3rd failed drug test for the Bodysnatcher - is this the end of his career?

Heavyweight division is a disaster right now. The lower classes are the hottest they've been in a looooong time and the big boys can't even get their pants on in the morning. Dillian getting retired might be a crippling blow for a struggling division if there was anything left to cripple. Chisora feels like the only decent option that actually has a chance of happening. Don't really think it's PPV worthy, though. Since it's AJ, I'm sure it will do fine numbers in the UK.
