I was about to post that I was surprised at how well MLS did in the first stage of this tournament, with only 12 out of 32 teams being from LigaMX. Then I remembered they only have 18 teams vs 29 teams, and with one bye each it was really 17 vs 28. So 12 out of 17 LMX made it out vs 20 out of 28. That's basically 70% of each league made it through. Still a little surprising to me that MLS was on par with LMX.
