Hello all,

I've created a moxfield package of the cards that I add to each and every one of my EDH decks. I'd love some feedback on any cards you think I'm missing or if you think I should not classify a card as an "essential" card.

Note: I do not play mono-colored or colorless EDH decks, those would certainly not include several of these cards.

Some good 2 mana rocks include the signets, the diamond cycle, and the mono colored myr along with ornithopter of Paradise, prismatic lens, and guardian idol

Thanks, all great options

I like to throw Moonsliver key in a lot of my decks. It's basically a fetch land for your mana rocks.

Great suggestion thank you!

I like Glaring Spotlight for more interaction control, lightning greaves because lightning greaves, and then for lands I find a spot for thespians stage, cavern of souls, and if you’re playing black or just have a nasty pod bojuka bog for uncounterable graveyard hate.

Great suggestions, I have used Bojuka big before, but the spotlight, stage, and cavern are all new for me!

Hey I get why you would want to do that, but may I advise against it? Sure I won't try to convice you of running ramp or rocks but frankly the least amount of cards deck have in common, the more fun you will have with each of them.

Thanks for your feedback. I do agree that variety is what makes EDH such a compelling format. I'm mostly trying to help newer players with some "foundational" cards they might want to consider adding to their deck. Perhaps I should rename the package to indicate this.

I understand where you’re coming from, this kind of thinking led my old pod to power creep into near cedh power levels. It’s totally up to OP how to build decks, but in my experience keeping my auto include list very short leads to more exploration and experimentation and less competitiveness.

I think I just put sol ring and lightning greaves in everything now, but I used to put skullclamp, mimic vat, swiftfoot boots, temple of the false god, homeward path, terramorphic expanse, and a couple others in eeeevery deck. It wasn’t bad, but it did seem to make each game feel similar to the last.

I've been enjoying Honored Heirloom. A 3mv mana rock that doubles as targeted grave hate.
