I get it, i do,.

Isin't this "above and beyond" though? this is a raft of features no existing network demonstrates. As cool as the idea is, and I do see it working to a degree. I am not sure energy is best spent there unless a funded team wants to REALLY build it in. The partial implementations around this that could drag on for years have the paternal to make the network less usable.

You don't see direct content integrations between the major social platforms, instead that is enabled through bots on top of the API. Making the data of all the platforms run through lemmy increases the chances an issue on one of these networks affects us all.
