⚄︎ Perchance

This is a Lemmy Community for perchance.org, a platform for sharing and creating random text generators.

Feel free to ask for help, share your generators, and start friendly discussions at your leisure :)

This community is mainly for discussions between those who are building generators. For discussions about using generators, especially the popular AI ones, the community-led Casual Perchance forum is likely a more appropriate venue.

See this post for the Complete Guide to Posting Here on the Community!

  • See Perchance AI FAQ for FAQ about the AI tools.
  • You can ask for help with prompting at the 'sister' community Casual Perchance, which is for more casual discussions.
  • We will still be helping/answering questions about the plugins as long as it is related to building generators with them.

so I am using perchance character ai chat with chrome, and when I have my character generate an image I can hit the ‘keep’ button at the bottom of the image to save it. This worked fine initially, but now I find that when I hit keep and close my browser I lose the image. When I open the browser back up it just generates a new image. It still keeps most of my older images, and a few of the newer ones, but for the most part it regenerates after I close and reopen. Any clue why? I have tried exporting and then importing, but this doesn’t seem to help.

I'd recommend waiting for a couple of seconds before reloading/closing the page to make sure the image is 'converted/saved' on the chat. I tried clicking the keep then immediately reloading the page (even closing the page as soon as I clicked 'keep'), but it managed to keep the image. Not sure what other factors might affect it saving.

If you could provide a video demo of the problem with the console open, it would be helpful to see if there are problems with the code.

Thanks for the response. Waiting doesn't seem to help. I've waited 10+ minutes multiple times with no success. I could try uploading a video, but forgive me for not really knowing the best way to go about that. I take it I right click in chrome, inspect, console. Then take a video on my phone and upload it to youtube with a link or something? Sorry I've never done anything like this before.

You could use ShareX screen record then upload to Streamable. Can you also provide the thread/chat export that is faulty so I can try to replicate the problem on my end?
