Same thing happened to me. My ex wife and friends rented the house. They say the pullout bed was bent when they pulled it out the first night.

The owner says it was damaged beyond repair and had Airbnb charge me $3000 for it.

Airbnb doesn't give a shit. They banned me because I refused to pay for it.

I love how many people on the Redit thread are like “but why use AB&B tho?”

I do wish hotels provided empty mini fridges. It’s absurd that they want $10 for a cup of cold filtered water. That and I wish hotels would stop with the ridiculous resort fees. They only do resort fees in some markets, but it’s becoming more common. And when places that don’t even have a pool pull that shit 😒

Is it really that common where you live? Ive stayed in many hotels in Europe and have seen extra paid items maybe once.

In certain US cities it’s pretty common. most Las Vegas places charge a resort fee. Recently I’ve seen that a bunch of places in Los Angeles and San Francisco do it.
