There are a few labels that I will get stuff just purely to have all of their releases in my folder for when I am spinning but there aren't many that I do that with. Often I will get a USB with their discography on at some point and then feel like I need to keep up with the releases from there xD most stuff I will listen to first though and decide if I like it enough to add it in.

I have absolutely done the same thing with things I've had for years however and then rediscovered them at a later date and with new ears and absolutely loved it. So it is always a possibility!

Probably my least favourite release on Encrypted in a while. I got it to carry on my complete collection for the label and not have a gap but I doubt I'll ever play any of the songs in the mix.

now that's what I'd call dedication ;) I gave up on these kinds of purchases/collections even if it's quite tempting every once in a while, esp so if it's about Vinyls or other physical releases. These days I listen to stuff a lot first and then decide, if I end up just liking one tune its more of a "nahh, later" thing

but hey, you're right about getting it. Never say never -- give it some time; who knows, in a few years from now you will stumble across it in your collection and be like "Uhh! What's this?! Can't remember where I got this from..." -- and then you give it a go again and then, yeah, the more you listen to it, the more you like it. I've had these occasions where I got some Album and never really listened to it until years later, on repeat. Funny how things change
