I have been using C4 Pre-Workout for approximately 5-6 months. I have observed that it appears to provide some relief from muscle soreness, potentially facilitating smoother and more comfortable movement. Additionally, it seems to reduce inflammation and contribute to a clearer mental state and an overall positive mood.

However, I experience some adverse effects, such as pronounced tingling and itching, which may be attributed to my use of approximately 2 scoops of C4 Original. It is important to note that these observations are based on personal experience. Individuals may react differently to this supplement, and I would advise consulting with a healthcare professional before using this product, especially if you experience any side effects or have underlying health conditions.

Pre-Workout Supplement Analysis:

Supplement Composition and Dosage:

  1. Caffeine (150 mg): Caffeine is a central nervous system stimulant that enhances alertness, reduces perceived exertion, and may improve physical performance by increasing the release of neurotransmitters. Excessive intake can lead to side effects such as increased heart rate, anxiety, or gastrointestinal discomfort.

  2. Creatine Nitrate (1 g): This compound combines creatine and nitrate. Creatine supports ATP production for energy during high-intensity exercise, while nitrate enhances blood flow and muscle pump. Potential side effects include gastrointestinal disturbances and water retention.

  3. Arginine Alpha-Ketoglutarate (1 g): Arginine alpha-ketoglutarate aids in nitric oxide production, which improves blood flow and muscle pump. Alpha-ketoglutarate may enhance nutrient delivery to muscles. Possible side effects include gastrointestinal discomfort and transient increases in blood pressure.

  4. CarnoSyn® Beta-Alanine (1.6 g): Beta-alanine boosts carnosine levels in muscles, buffering acid to delay fatigue and improve performance. Common side effects include a tingling sensation (paresthesia), which is usually harmless but can be uncomfortable.

  5. Teacrine: Teacrine (theacrine) is a stimulant similar to caffeine, which may enhance mood, focus, and energy levels by modulating adenosine receptors and dopamine. Potential side effects can include jitteriness or insomnia in sensitive individuals.

Additional Ingredients:

  1. Vitamin C (250 mg): An antioxidant that supports immune function and collagen synthesis. Vitamin C is generally well-tolerated but high doses can cause gastrointestinal disturbances in some individuals.

  2. Niacin (30 mg): Also known as vitamin B3, niacin supports energy metabolism and skin health. It may cause flushing or a tingling sensation at higher doses but is typically well-tolerated in moderate amounts.

  3. Vitamin B6 (500 mcg): Essential for amino acid metabolism and neurotransmitter synthesis. This dosage is within the recommended range and typically does not cause adverse effects.

Dosage and Tolerability:

My current regimen involves the use of approximately two scoops of C4 Original Pre-Workout. The total intake from this dosage is approximately:

300 mg of Caffeine

2 g of Creatine Nitrate

2 g of Arginine Alpha-Ketoglutarate

3.2 g of CarnoSyn® Beta-Alanine

Teacrine

500 mg of Vitamin C

60 mg of Niacin

1 mg of Vitamin B6

70 mcg of Vitamin B12

It is noted that I do not experience gastrointestinal issues with this dosage. However, it is important to monitor for any adverse effects and consult with a healthcare provider before initiating or altering supplement dosages, particularly if there are existing health concerns or if any side effects are observed.
