Just a community for everyone to share artifacts, reconstructions, or replicas for the historically-inclined to admire!
Generally, an artifact should be 100+ years old, but this is a flexible requirement if you find something rare and suitably linked to an era of history, not a strict rule. Anything over 100 is fair game regardless of rarity.

What period? Early republic, I'd guess.
Mid-Late Republic, I think. Early Republic would resemble a hoplite's kit.
Every Hopilite carries a dead Persian as a conversation piece.
That's a lot of gear to maintain. What is the cross-bar wooden stake thing on the left? Is it a bow rack?
Oh wow. That's way worse than a backpack. But I guess it's way better when you have to carry a shield, and may need to dump your gear and fight at a moment's notice.
