you can also use a build like this with felwinters helm. if you start a finisher from the air, it will be usually be considered and in air kill, extending restoration and heat rises and still weakening and blinding everyone for a few seconds. Gives some much needed down time with the finisher resistance and when the nearby enemies stop shooting.

I'm using Ember of Mercy, Ashes, Searing and Torches for the build. The constant 25% damage boost is just too good not to include. And because of all the Firesprites you'll have Restoration up most of the time because of Ember of Mercy.

something thats good to know too is that using your melee ability on an enemy means as long that enemy dies in a few seconds to any source of dmg you still get the energy and effects tied to that melee kill.

tick over time scorch or ignition from melee abilities count as a melee kill. more useful to know for sunbracers, because here any kill while you are in the air gives you melee energy back from any source.

If u plan to have heat rises up all the time, I'd throw on strafe glide. HR basically swaps the speeds of the glides and you can get more speed out of strafe and double dash, if not just go burst.
