Once the group finishes the selected book, we will create a new post to collect all suggestions for the next title and then use a random number generator to select the next work.

Week 2: Life Turns on a Dime.

This week we are reading and discussing chapters 3 and 4 of 11/22/63 by Steven King.

Week 2 meeting will be on Sunday 7/16/2023 at 9pm EST / 6pm PST.

We are considering recording our meeting sessions but we will see how that goes. It may turn in to a twitch stream.

This post will serve as a backup discussion for anyone that is not able to join us during the meeting time.

Some of our discussion questions to get started:

Did you have any preconceived notions about Steven King and his writing?
Have you read any of his previous works?
Where do you think the story is going?
What do you think of the main character?
Does anything stand out to you about the writing style?
Any particular lines that stood out to you?

Just finished chapter 3. I think we will have much more to discuss this week. Getting interesting.

Still have my gripes with some "Stephen King-isms", but I am looking forward to seeing where this goes. I have some theories formulating already 👀
