Good shave. Nice scent and a sharp blade made this an excellent shave.

  • Blade: Gillette Nacet (1)
  • Lather: PannaCrema - Nuàvia Nera - Soap

  • Talc: Pinaud Clubman Finest Powder

2 passes. Face lather. Excellent shave.

Stunningly good shave today. I think a lot of it relates to Nuàvia Nera which is just a wonderful fresh scent paired with a great vegetal soap base.

Enjoy your weekend!

  • Brush: Stirling Soap Co. Zenith Boar Brush 31mm × 50mm
  • Razor: Zwilling J. A. Henckels Friodur Unnumbered 8/8" ( hollow ground, stainless steel, round point)
  • Lather: Stirling Soap Co. Varen
  • Aftershave: Sir Irisch Moos

This one's bigger than yesterday's big Frio 14, but it feels just as gentle. These more modern unnumbered Friodurs tend to have a bad reputation in certain forums, but I can't see why. Other than the joyless straight-lined design, it's just wonderful.

Varen++

Are you hoping to kill it as an excuse to buy more? 😀

[–] [email protected] 2 points 8 months ago

Oh yeah, but not how you think: this goes immediately back on the to+buy list😅

I know I should kill stuff I don't like to make space to try new things, but instead the only soaps remotely near a kill are Varen and Tabac, i.e., essentials 🤦‍♂️

  • Brush: Maggard 24mm Synthetic
  • Razor: GEM Pushbutton
  • Blade: Personna GEM PTFE (7)
  • Lather: Barrister & Mann - Petrichor - Soap
  • Post Shave: Barrister & Mann - Petrichor - Aftershave
  • Post Shave: allMan - Refined - Balm
  • Fragrance: House of Mammoth - Damocles - EdP

I'm on another GEM streak. The pushbutton is a nice shaver. Honestly it feels similar in "aggression" to the MMOC and Clog Pruf. 🤷‍♂️
