Modern lemmy web UI (self.asklemmy)
submitted 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) by trymeout to c/[email protected]

Is there a modern lemmy web ui option out there? lemmy.world and all the other instances I know use a lightweight, basic UI which has its benifits and gives a bit of an old reddit feel.

EDIT: Looking into lemmy more. It will seems the main UI HTML structure is solid. I think a better theme could be made (CSS stylesheet) to make lemmy look more modern like reddit and having a new theme. The current theme and a modern theme could exist on an instance and be changed in the users setting.

On mobile you can use wefwef.app

This is the way. It's so good for not being a native app.

Yeah, I only wish the UI wasn't so iOS like, since I'm using Android. But hey, you can't have them all :)

You can use it on desktop as well, of course it's nobile first but it's not bad

But I'd have to give this website my credentials, right?

gives a bit of an old reddit feel.

That is why I'm here.

What features or looks are you looking for?

I think it strikes a balance of looking relatively modern without being unnecessarily bloated and annoying like new Reddit and most sites these days.

What more features do you want?
