Like lockscreen widgets? I had the best one on my Note 4. Do you know if that will be on non pixels?

I mean, I'll go look. Just talking.

Edit: doesn't appear to be for non-pixels. Android 14 beta 3. Says it brings it up to par with Samsung devices. I have a Samsung and yeah, it's customizable. The deal is that I don't want to be stuck with what the Samsung or Google offers. I want 3rd party lockscreen widgets and clocks.

Good news, I can solve the widget problem for you! Download: Lockscreen widgets and drawers, it costs 1.89, but it works really well! Just add a new widget through the app, then lock your phone and press on the widget with 2 fingers, then you can move it wherever you want. The app asks for alot of permissions but it is required for it to run. And I heard good things about the app!

Sweet! Thanks. I'm going to check that out.

Better support for larger screens, such as for tablets. We've heard this story before, so I don't have much hope, but I want to believe. I'm a long suffering Android tablet user.

Also, the ability to limit which photos and videos an app can access instead of granting all or nothing access.

Oh yeah, those are nice! I head that ability to clone apps is coming, do you think that is true?

I don't think that was confirmed yet. I suspect the biggest issue with this is how to surface it to non-technical users in a friendly and consistent manner, not the actual cloning. My guess is that if it does make it, there will be an option hidden in the developer settings and it won't get much fanfare.
