Poss a dumb question but is this based on viewing from anywhere, or more USA?
This is mostly going to be northern hemisphere, but it should be the same from anywhere in the northern hemisphere for the most part
This is brilliant. I've been trying to get back into astronomical viewing this last month. A comprehensive list of events on here is really helpful! Thank you!
Awesome, I'm glad you find it useful and hope it helps to get you out observing.
If you want to get some useful apps, I like one called Astrospheric for seeing the forecast and viewing conditions for observing. Nightshift is also good and shows interesting objects and events in addition to the forecast. And I love Stellarium for finding objects and framing up astrophotography targets.
Great post! Unfortunately I live in a very light polluted area and don't drive so my enjoyment of these events is limited but I hope to at least see a few of the easier to spot ones (Venus, Jupiter, supermoon)
Yeah that's too bad sorry.
If you're interested, check out astrobicuit YouTube channel. He's an astrophotographer in London that makes due in those light polluted skies.
Next time there's a major power outage go night sky observing!
Hey that could be fun! Can't remember the last time there was a power outage but I'm definitely hoping for one now. I'll check that YouTuber out, thanks for the recommendation :)
I like him a lot. He's a goofy British guy, but makes some really awesome videos IMO
Me too. I need to get far away from all this light pollution so I can see the stars in all its beautiful glory again with my own eyes.
