This would be awesome if c/Homelab takes off.
homelab
I sure hope so. I need a homelab community here :)
What OS are you running on each server? Curios about the DB server, I have on virtualized with libvirt and debian 11.
I am running UnRaid on both server boxes. The DB server is only running Postgress12, MariaDB, Redis, Wireguard, and my Martix chat server, all dockerized ofcorse.
I wanted it to be Low power, and have Maxium uptime. So far we are going on 2 months and not a single hiccup. CPU load hovers around 4%-20%.
looks like it.
current moderator, CMonster, seems to be inactive.

I really like the Rosewill cases. I have three L4500U's in my rack right now and a 4th in storage for "just in case" lol.
I got them several years ago right as they were becoming really hard to find. Mine are the USB 2.0 version, but that's not a big deal. They were around $100 back then, instead of the $200+ now. Sometimes they get some hate for being "cheap", but for me they are perfect and I would much rather have one then some super micro chassis.
Right, I dont need Jet-Engine Volume dual PSU's for a home lab. My sits in the den, I replaced all the fans with Nocuta fans and Silverstone 5-Drive Hotswaps (15 Total) and now they are dead silent, I dont even notice them half of the time. Let alone there beeing 3 of them.
I just bought 3 HP EliteDesk 705 G4 the other day starting a kurbenetes cluster.
Currently I am using my desktop for Plex due to storage. I got a 42U APC rack with one mini pc for kurbenetes for my other services.
I hope so, r/homelab has been a valuable resource for my home projects.
