I’ve been using NetNewsWire before I moved to Windows. It’s perfect as long as you’re in the Apple ecosystem.

Now that I moved to Windows (I was forced to), I can’t use iCloud to sync rss feeds and favorite articles. I’ve tried feedly but it sucks. I ended up using Outlook, but it doesn’t sync with its iPhone app. Is there any free way to do this, hopefully using opensource software? Syncthing doesn’t work on iOS, by the way.

I self host FreshRSS and from there can use any client on any platform. That’s an option for you if you’re self hosting inclined. I use Reeder on iOS and browser on windows.

Is FreshRSS good? I’ve once made an account on hosted FreshRSS instance before, but I couldn’t manage to sort news by date or something I remember. Maybe I’m just too bad.

Plus, I’m in a school dormitory and can’t have fixed global IP

I like FreshRSS fine. I just want it to be stable and predictable and it is. The apps used to connect to it can handle how the data looks for the most part.

It's a small program and there's directions on how to run it on the free tier of Azure here: https://safjan.com/how-to-deploy-freshrss-in-the-cloud-for-free-on-azure/#google_vignette
