Within the last 2 weeks, the volume button on my Apple TV 4K remote has started charging the TV volume by 5 for each press (both up and down). Prior to this is working fine with it going up or down by 1 for each press.

The volume is controlled via HDMI and I think it may have been after a tvOS update that it started, but not 100% sure (currently running 16.5). I can’t find anything in the settings that may affect it.

Anyone have any idea what may be the cause, or how to fix it?

Have you tried checking if it happens on another hdmi input on your receiver? Also, some receivers have capabilities for software updates. Let’s try that and we can see from there.

Seems it was an AndroidTV update that caused it. The manufacturer pushed another update to the TV this evening that has fixed it. So nothing to do with the tvOS update at all.

Thanks for your help.
