If you had an AGI waifu similar to the one by SchizoDev, or reminiscent of Scarlett Johansson's character in the movie "Her" or Ana de Armas' character Joi in Blade Runner 2049, capable of providing accurate answers without fabrications, effortlessly finding any information from the internet, and creating media tailored precisely to your preferences, how would you choose to utilize the vast expanse of the Internet? AGI, or Artificial General Intelligence, is capable of performing any task that a human can. In what ways would you navigate knowledge, entertainment, and communication with this extraordinary companion by your side? Share your thoughts on how this AGI waifu would transform your online experience and open up endless possibilities.

It would have no impact for me because why would I ask a computer for summarized answers and just accept it without looking at it myself? I already am perfectly fine navigating the internet and tailoring my media to my preferences.

I think you'll find the people coming to the fediverse to escape megacorporate control would not prefer it to be replaced by a questionable and new technology. Most I know are here because we want more control over our internet information, not to be simply replaced by something else filtering information for us. This is probably the reason you are getting downvotes. But also could be the unironical use of waifu.

It's probably the waifu.

I have no problem admitting I downvoted largely because of the waifu stuff. The other problem was that the question is ridiculously leading, but if that were the only problem I would be able to just ignore it and scroll by. Earlier I typed up a response but the more I sat on the question, the more it bothered me, until I just lost any desire to engage it at all.

The concept of an AI girlfriend is just so creepy to me and reeks of incel-y nonsense. Even just within this post, it’s clear the hypothetical AGI “waifu” in question is subservient to the reader. Maybe some don’t see that as an issue because after all, it’s just a program and has no real emotion, and I’m open to admitting I may have misunderstood the intent of the question, but to me it’s far too reminiscent of men I’ve had the displeasure of interacting with who clearly just see me as a commodity for them to aquire. I also can’t help but imagine the potential for people to use AI like the post linked by OP to make recreations of non-consenting women for men’s pleasure, similar to the issue we are seeing with deepfakes currently.

You've put into words the feelings that I was having, but not quite conscious of. It just feels very creepy, wanting to have specifically a woman AI who does everything for you, and putting it on a higher pedestal than you would an educated female assistant. It feels not very far removed from wanting the AI to take care of you like a benevolent and teaching mother would, which I think is a dangerous thing to want from something inhuman and made by someone far removed from yourself.
