My understanding is that it doesn’t matter all that much which server you join (other than for the local rules on the server of course) because lemmy is federated, i.e. it is an email-like system where you can interact with other servers freely. I may be completely wrong though. I am a new user.
Yes I think I figured out how to post on another server, but my understanding was that to make a community I need to have an account on that server, so I was trying to make an account on there as well
The other possibility is to message a user on
lemmy.ca
and ask them to make the community for you and then add you as a mod (and optionally remove themselves after verifying that stuck).Any reason you don't want to create a community on your server,
