#WhatchaReading ? I finished the most waste of time old Harlequin, The Wild Side by Diana Hamilton. One of those awful misogynistic old skool books that's pretty fun if you're in the right mood -- but (romancelandia.club)

@willaful @romancelandia @romancebooks Oh gosh, I try never to go back to those older books. I tried to re-read a Betty Neels (who I loved) & I couldn't. But at least it wasn't as bad as the old Presents ... talk about misogynistic. All they did was teach you that a man could be verbally & emotionally abusive, but you can fall in love with them anyway.

@Eve @lenoreo I still find them cathartic reads at times, though my tolerance is definitely not what it once was.

@willaful I have to be in a very specific headspace for them, for real.

And even then, it can be iffy whether I can finish them.
