An online space for the vegans of Lemmy.
Rules and miscellaneous:
- We take for granted that if you engage in this community, you understand that veganism is about the animals. You either are vegan for the animals, or you are not (this is not to say that discussions about climate/environment/health are not allowed, of course)
- No omni/carnist apologists. This is not a place where to ask to be hand-holded into veganims. Omnis coddling/backpatting is not tolerated, nor are /r/DebateAVegan-like threads
- Use content warnings and NSFW tags for triggering content
- Circlejerking belongs to /c/vegancirclejerk
- All posts should abide by Lemmy's Code of Conduct

All I’m gonna say about that, is yes safe spaces are typically were our notions (wrong or right) are reciprocated.
You aren’t looking for people to understand a topic, you just want similar minded people to “circle-jerk”, not accepting outside opinion, but pushing theirs on others, is a major issue with people these days.
Not trolling at all, just pointing out what’s come across the Hot feed the last couple days, and trying to create engagement.
I'm trying to talk to vegans about this topic. That's all. This question is discussing things that vegans focus on in particular. If I was asking another question geared toward all people that would be different. Please leave me alone now.
Then why bring up it being overrun by “non-vegans” that’s not achieving what you wanted it to with that comment leading the topic.
I had reason to believe that would happen if I didn't specifically ask for only vegan replies, which you did not respect. I was right. And no it's not a self fulfilling prophecy. I've tried asking things on vegan communities on Lemmy before without that preface, and just got non-vegans trolling. At least this might reduce it. But the trolls are abundant. You are absolutely a troll. Please go away.
Actually, since I never directed a response to your question, I never disrespected that. I know it’s pedantic, but it’s important here. I was creating engagement for Lemmy by pointing out the funniness between two communities.
Asking for a safe space is asking for the trolls to come out, they’ll come out anyways, but all you’ve done is now put a beacon that you can’t handle a little feather ruffling.
