I feel like we could be getting all this info to ease this into the public zeitgeist. For decades we've gotten sci fi that shows aliens in various scenarios from friendly pals to enemies we can best with good, old human ingenuity and ass kicking.

The message is "they aren't all bad and we can handle the bad ones". It's like you are preparing a kid for life in the schoolyard with buddies and bullies. And don't forget the teachers you can run to if things aren't going well.

Then a ramp up of more and more people with bona fides coming out on more and more main stream media outlets.

I do believe this is preparing the way.

yeah, I heard that Spielberg was shown the Holloman AFB film and was essentially guided to make the end scene of Close Encounters based on that event.

If we do get "the truth" there could be a wave of corroboration for all these anecdotes. That will be really interesting.
