I suggest waiting till a specific invite community is made. Doesn't hurt to ask tho

i looked around for one but didnt come up with anything. Hoping its alright here, but i understand if the mods get annoyed by the post

Nah i don't think there are any existing communities or rules, but I have a feeling one will be set up soon with more security so we can safely trade invites.

im new to the whole usenet thing, is asking for invite like this insecure?

Nah, on the original subreddit there was a verification process in order to be able to request invites. You needed to share an invite before you could request one. Kept things fair but also a little annoying if you're brand new.

Ohhh gotcha. Makes sense, yeah I can see wanting to have a little give and take in the community
