Mabuhay at maligayang pag-alis sa Lemmy! ✈️

An abandoned community for the Philippines and all things Filipino! 🇵🇭

Started out as a Reddit alternative during the blackout from Jun 12-21, 2023 with over 1k members in just a few days. Fizzled faster than the "I Didn't Do It" kid after a month until it became the internet's Centralia in less than a year.

after posting this, i finally re-organized my password vault with keepass2, only the frequent accounts i imported, kept my bitwarden vault on my hard drive and i'll print one later for physical reference. i don't really know why i did this, siguro boring o nacompulse dahil sa potanginang init ng panahon. meron pala akong over 90 login credentials, at halos mga basurang account.

whenever i edit something on my vault, yu-esbe is mandatory.

pc: keepass2, android: keepass2android, yu-esbe: sandisk dual drive 64gb (type a, type c)

I, too, am in the process of re-compartmentalizing my passwords, like separate vaults per class of access. Sobrang hassle. Like you, ang dami ngang basura. May ilan na wala na yung site. Mga one month na rin ako naglilinis, di pa rin tapos.

I don't think I could ever just use a pure offline password manager, though. Laki ng concern ko not about the technology, but about my possible mishandling of the password database (corruption, sync, etc.). Ang malas ko sa file corruption.

Maybe it's okay to use for the critical recovery accounts for the online password manager that I only have to set up once.

My only fear of this process is my flash drive and external SSD healthiness. What if bigla na lang maco-corrupt o masisira ang drives ko kahit anong pag-iingat ko. SanDisk and Kingston are my only brand choices when it comes to computer drives. Tested na sila sa akin, and ni-isa wala pang palya.

I'll just assume na, "my own data, my responsibility. No one else to blame but myself, whatever happens." Lol
