Imagine seeing this photo as a person who'd never heard of Alex Trebek, and being told this was a real print ad. Wtf...
I know the name, but essentially nothing else of him, and did not realize that this was him or a real ad. I thought it was a reference to the boneitis guy.
That said, thank you for indirectly explaining this to me.
There was a whole series of "Got Milk?" ads back in the 90s featuring celebrities with a milk moustache and a clever little pun. This one is just especially sinister with the context removed lol
They even did ads with fictional characters, such as Mario.
It was a pretty interesting ad campaign. Though they were misleading on the health benefits of milk.
