Never really followed the Athletic. Was Jay our beat reporter? I heard other folks were let go from there too right?
Yeah apparently lots of lay offs. Even with the NYT buying the operation I guess the mighty dollar has the final say. He and Paul Dehner were the Bengals writers. Both were host of the Hear That Podcast Growlin' (Paul is still there) As a Bengals fan out of the Cincinnati market listening to them really helped me feel connected to the team.
I'm over in Seattle and have always felt disconnected. Maybe I should start listening to the pod
Highly recommend - but we'll see how if the quality drops without Jay.
