I'm having trouble connecting with the Android and iOS app. I use my IP and port to the server as well as the web address I have, but none allow me to connect. I'm able to access the server remotely from any web browser but the app isn't connecting.

I have reset the server and PC it's running on, everything is up to date. Running directly on the PC, not Docker.

Any ideas of what's going on? Willing to try anything to get it working.

Do you happen to use HTTPS? And if yes, how did you get your certificate?

@tiwenty just HTTP, couldn't figure out how to do HTTPS yet. Trying to learn all this

What kinda URL you write in the browsers, and in the apps?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

@tiwenty browser I use www.example.tk or my IP 1.1.1.1:8096, with the actual addresses of course. Both of those allow me to connect via browser

Have you tried explicitly adding the "http://" and port? Are the apps the official ones? :)

@tiwenty Yes, I've added the http, and I have tried the official app on both iOS and Android
