Apologies for a second feature request so soon after my prior one, though I think this would make Lemmy Explorer far more useful.

As I have a substantial filter list of two dozen instances and hundreds of other communities on the remaining instances, it'd be helpful if there were an option to filter out communities from Lemmy explorer on the basis of one's predefined filter lists.

As many small communities only start appearing in my regular feed after I load their information in Lemmy Explorer first, I sometimes search for such communities, scrolling past communities from instances on my filter list.

It would also be helpful if there were a toggleable sub-option of the "Hide NSFW Content" setting to automatically set the NSFW option in Lemmy Explorer to "Exclude NSFW".

Sorry for the late reply. I've had a busy week.

I'm always happy to get feature requests, so feel free to send any ideas you might have. Arctic has reached a relatively stable and mature point, and sometimes I struggle finding new features and improvements to add.

I really like this idea. I'd never considered using the account block list for filtering Lemmy Explorer. Integrating this should be straightforward. I'll also add a toggle to enable or disable filtering. I'm trying to find a way to integrate Lemmy Explorer in the Lemmy search view. I just haven't figured out exactly how I want to do this yet. That will likely be part of a larger update.

As for excluding NSFW, I think I will make it so that the last selection is saved across sessions, rather than resetting every time.

Loving the new Lemmy Explorer block list filtering option, but realized that as I can't block instances that the instance I'm on defederates with already, communities from those instances still appear in Lemmy Explorer despite not being able to interact with them. Could the block list filter also be used to filter out communities from defederated instances?

Alright, I've added support for filtering communities and instances based on the defederated list for the active instance. I've also added support for blocking communities and instances straight from Lemmy Explorer.

This will be included in the update later on this evening. Thanks for the ideas!
