The fact that it bothers you what other people are wearing is not indicative of how you feel about other people. It tells me feel about yourself. Other people are confident enough to wear what makes them comfortable, and it seems you are more worried about what other people think.
This has Tips fedora vibes.
Your version of how others should dress and how you judge them for their wardrobe shows me that the class you think you exude come from insecurity, not confidence.
No actually, it's the reverse. Pretending that all aesthetic choices are equally good and signaling is always through pure thought and not behavior choices, is where insecurity lies. People who have thoughts and opinions are not afraid to have other people have reciprocal thoughts and opinions.
The tips fedora thing is 10-15 years out of date and also weirdly inapplicable since nobody ever thought neckbeards had good style or, more generally, signaled respect for themselves or others.
So, you are saying that you dress what you deem as nicely BECAUSE you don't care what other people think of you?
Pretending to know what clothes are considered "good" is pretentious and vain. Other people's clothes don't affect you. Unless you judge other people based on their clothes to feel better about your insecurities, that is.
Simply false actually. Humans are social creatures. How they present themselves to other humans is important. This is true of most social animals too.
Would you like to go back and explain the fedora comment relevancy
Other people's clothes do not affect you and no amount of "nah uh" arguments you make will change that.
The "tips fedora" comment was based on the fact that neckbeards assumed they looked good in a classic style hat, and looked goofy as shit. YOu said it yourself.
I guarantee someone looks at you in public, even though you are satisfied with yourself and well dressed to your standard, and judges your style even more harsh than you judge others.
What makes your style better and not "trashy" like you said?
